What are the benefits of Dry January: The challenge of the month without alcohol?
During the Christmas holidays, you toasted well and here we are in January: the Dry January challenge says “one month without alcohol” to adopt your new body, a healthy and balanced life!
Dry January began in 2012 as an initiative by Alcohol Change UK, a British charity, to "ditch hangovers, reduce waistlines and save money by giving up alcohol for 31 days". Since then, it has settled all over Europe, particularly in France.
What is Dry January?
Dry January, also known as 'alcohol-free month', is a month when many people voluntarily stop drinking alcohol after the excesses of December and start the new year on a sober, clearer, more refreshed and healthy note.
The challenge “of the month without alcohol” will allow people to reduce their alcohol consumption, adopt a healthy lifestyle, and why not start new resolutions such as playing sports.
What are the benefits of dry January?
The benefits of Dry January are multiple, positive effects are observed on sleep, anxiety, skin and body.
The non-alcoholic challenge of the month is much more beneficial if you add workouts to your daily routine along with a balanced diet. For example: doing cardio sessions in a park, in a gym, or on your gym mat.
Shoppydeals.co.uk recommends some sports equipment, for people who are very busy in their daily lives and can do their sport at home in "this month without alcohol".
Now all that remains is to start your new year with good resolutions.
Happy New Year 2023 to All!
